Privacy Policy
What personal information Apture Labs collects, why, and what rights you have. Written to PIPEDA and Alberta PIPA.
This document is a structural scaffold. Each section describes what belongs in it; none of it is operative legal language, and it has not been reviewed by a lawyer. Replace the body text with counsel-approved wording before relying on this page.
Scope
Who this covers: website visitors, people who contact sales or apply for a role, and users of the products. Note where the customer, not Apture, is the controller of data processed inside their own deployment.
Information we collect
Directly provided: contact form submissions, job applications and resumes, account details.
Automatically: server logs, and whatever analytics the site actually runs — list them honestly, or state that none are used.
How we use it
Responding to enquiries, evaluating applications, providing and supporting the product, billing, and legal obligations. State that personal information is not sold.
Legal basis and consent
Consent and its withdrawal, under PIPEDA and Alberta PIPA. Include the exceptions relied on, if any.
Service providers
Name the processors that actually touch personal information — email delivery, hosting, payments — and where each stores data.
Cross-border transfers
Whether any personal information leaves Canada, which providers, and the safeguards. This matters commercially given the sovereignty positioning — be precise.
Retention
How long enquiries, applications, and account records are kept, and the deletion process.
Your rights
Access, correction, withdrawal of consent, and complaint — including escalation to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the Alberta OIPC.
Security
Summary of safeguards, with a pointer to the Security page.
